Below is about our red eared slider, Kurumi's egg laying of the sixth time.

June 9
	The season has been coming earlier than usual since spring this year. And it seems to be able to say the same thing also about egg-laying of turtle. Kurumi's active for egg-laying is ahead of season about a month earlier than usual year. We could see the sign of act for egg-laying from the middle of April. And she began to act for eggs in earnest in the morning of this day. She also began to make a movement for digging a hole by her hind legs on the floor soon. It is her favorite place this season here. It's by the window. She digs here from early in the morning after she comes out her water place from early in the morning every day. She may want to go outside. As you can see, she made a hole there as soon as I covered the floor by newspapers. because she digs after wetting them by her pee. Even if I replaced newspapers with cardboards, she did the same thing again. They were broken down soon.
June 27
	Kurumi came to spend a long time at the balcony in recent days. Her action range has become narrower. She didn't move around hurriedly anymore. and stayed the same place for a long time. She often became to act behavior of digging by her hind legs after smelling the floor and scratching there in advance. Regarding weather, fine days that makes us think of end of rainy season came to continue. The condition was complete. I felt that the time was fulfilled. I tried to take her outside as a trial though it was about a month earlier than usual. I took her the park that she had laid eggs last summer without waiting the spring tide that would begin to come next day. Kurumi walked around slowly for a few minutes and began to dig there by her front legs soon when she was let go there. So I expected that she began to dig a hole and laid eggs at last. But she stayed still there, and besides she stopped moving soon. It was late time. I thought she might intend to sleep there. Because I experience the same thing about her before. So I decided to give up and brought her home and I think that I would come here with her again next day.
June 28
	She slept quietly after coming home. Next morning, it was past six. But she was still in water nevertheless she always came out of water and began to act at about five. She was strangely still. When I checked in the water, it got cloudy. And I could find white things like egg's shell and also runny thing like egg while. She looked to lay eggs in the night Taking her park may stimulate her to lay eggs. It looked that she already has eaten egg eggs. when I found that. So I couldn't know how many eggs she laid exactly. I think that it might be 2 or 3 judging from egg shell in the water. Right photo is egg shell I picked up from water.. After then she became quiet completely. But she looked to still have some eggs. So I thought he active for eggs would begin soon again.
July 9
	Kurumi has been like a turtle ornament after then. She didn't move n move at all. She has been staying in the container for long.and she have not moved at all. So her shelter became slippery soon if I leave her there without taking her the outside of the container compulsorily. But she has came out of water in the early time of morning a while. She hasn't started to act for eggs yet. She stayed on the flower pot of Airplane Plant for long in the daytime. Interestingly she was always on this pot every day wherever I moved it The flower pot of Airplane Plant that put to hold a lid of container for closing gap between the next balcony. I moved the pot here because Kurumi stayed on it very often.. It is her usual place for the time of eggs, here on the flower pot of Airplane Plant. Staying here means that" My egg time begins." or "I am acting for egg now !" Her signal is very easy to understand for me. She stayed so long time here. So I brought also the water container by the side of her as a countermeasure for the heat. Then she continued to get in and out of there. It became noisy suddenly..
July 14
	I felt it was too early for that she laid eggs yet. But I tried to take her to park to make sure of her condition because the spring tides began. Then she began to dig the ground soon. So I expected that she laid egg at the day. But things didn't work out as I expected. It looked that she wouldn't lay egg yet. She gave up digging soon.
July 20
	Also after then, she came out of water early in the morning ,scratched the floor by her legs and stayed on the flower pot in the balcony at the day time every day. But I thought she was a little strange. She was very quiet also in the morning She didn't come out of water. She stayed in the water even in the afternoon. She almost didn't move. But she showed an interest in me only when I approached he. She looked that she wanted me to do something for her. She gazed into my eyes and stretched her neck to me. So I gave her food. She had very a good appetite. So I thought she surely remained eggs and entered a brake time.
July 21
	She didn't come out of water also this day. She relaxed in the water. When I gave food, she ate up quickly. I was sure of that she was in resting period for next act. But... About 30 minutes after then, I could find a egg under her tail in water. And more about 20 minutes later another one. and more another one. She laid 3 eggs in a row at last. She often followed me around, gazed at my face and climbed on my legs・・・ I felt she was more friendly than usual. She might send a signal that she wanted me to take her outside.
July 23
	I can't know if her egg-laying of this year has finished or not. But I thought she wouldn't lay eggs for a while at least anyway. So I put away divider plates in the border between both next balcony for now. But I felt her way of biting food or a degree of her calmness was incomplete. That might be because she had not laid eggs in the ground at once. And I also couldn't feel fulfilled as "Kurumi's egg laying of this summer has finished at last" I wonder if she has more eggs? Just when I thought so I found another egg in the water again also this day. I don't know whether it come from abnormal weather of this summer as early end of rainy season or severe heat. The way of Kurumi's egg-laying also is abnormal. As for Kamemi, she didn't intend to lay eggs seriously after she laid eggs in the water. So I think that Kurumi also is the same as her. I don't Know if I need to take her to the park anymore this summer.
August 2
	It was a scorching hot day also this day. The temperature was over 30 degrees Celsius. Kusumi was always in the water at the corner of room as usual. She had been keeping a good appetite. She ate food in the morning and evening twice a day. Judging from her appetite, I thought she must have already finished laying eggs of this summer. But I found 2 eggs sinking under her tail in the water when I went to see her. She was interested in eggs and put them close to her nose. But she wouldn't eat them. She was interested in eggs and put them close to her nose. But she was not interested in them and wouldn't eat them. Just after she ate food enough. So she might not be hungry.
August 4
	Two days later, She laid another egg again after she ate much. as if it was push out by food. Kurumi settled completely and had a better appetite, So I was sure that she had finished egg-laying of this summer.
August 12
	But I found cloudy water again. Parts of egg shell in the bottom of the container after throwing away water. Judging from this I guessed it was only one. She laid about 10 eggs in total at last so far this summer. I wonder if she had already finished or not. Right Photo was taken in the morning of October 14. Kurumi chosen sunny place of the balcony especially to bask in the sun though I worried if she felt too hot. She looks to enjoy basking stretched her legs. .
August 20
	It had been comfortable days like autumn after Japanese Obon holiday of summer. I thought Kurumi would probably never lay eggs again. But it was not over yet. I was very busy and I stayed away from home till night. this day. When I went to see turtles to change their water after I came home this day I found Kurumi's water became very dirty and got cloudy and oil floated on the surface of the water. When I threw away water a broken piece of shell of one egg worth appeared at the bottom of container as I expected. Kurumi had been moving for eggs actively and seriously in June. But she doesn't do as serious as before since the beginning of July when the rainy season has finished. And she got to often lay eggs in water unexpectedly after then. This summer we are hit by heat wave in Japan. Ｔｈｅｙ　says that the average temperature of July is about 3 degrees Celsius higher than usual July. So I thought that she may lay eggs in the energy saving mode not to waste her power due to intense heat of this summer.
