The report of laying eggs of Kamemi in this summer is as follows.

The 1st time
June 1(Mon.)	Kamemi which usually doesn't like outdoor hoped to bask in the sun in the balcony. So she started the activity for egg-laying soon. The start is 2 weeks-a month earlier than usual year.
	Her usual activities we can see only at her egg season. Kamemi sleeps in the water this season. She comes out of her bed her container early in the morning and goes to balcony. And she spends time there bathing sunlight for a long time till the time of sunset. After basking she takes a nap under the cushion to keep her body warm till she returns her container at night.Such her life pattern like this shows us a sign that her laying season has come well. It surely means that basking is very important for preparing laying eggs.
	She comes to want to go to Japanese style room (with straw mats) without failure at her egg's time. She tries to enter there without missing any chances the doors open. And she begins to scratch the same spot of straw mat as usual after walking around for a while when she can enter the room luckily.
	Kamemi's customary daily life for her egg laying period. It's almost the same pattern every year. Wakes up early morning and scratches the usual spot of the carpet in living room. After then busily acts until the evening. Returns to the container before the sunset in the afternoon, about 4 :00 or 5:00 PM and catnaps soundly there. Wakes up at 10:00-11:00PM, comes out of water and acts again.( scratches the carpet) Goes to the hall and sleeps on the mat till next morning when the light goes out and the persons fall asleep.
July 15(Mon.)	2 weeks has passed since she started her activity for eggs. She stopped her action suddenly. She looked to decide to take a rest for a while. She came not to come out in the morning and she came to be in water all day long. She always has the appetite even both when she's acting and when taking a rest. She always eats well even just before the egg laying. She comes to me to press food when she see me. But her appetite at this time is lost more than usual and she comes to be particular about food. For example, she doesn't like prawn and fish's heads and tails at this time. That is to say that she doesn't like so much. An unbalanced diet may mean that the appetite has fallen.
June 20(Sat.)	She came out of her container with big sound suddenly in the morning. I wondered if she started activity again. But she went to Japanese style room and stretched her legs at ease while basking there. It became her daily work for a while after then. She will surely have warming-up for resuming her activity. Neither the place nor her style change almost everyday. She didn't even turn round her body and stayed here like a turtle's ornament until evening after she settled down here. Then she returned water in the evening But to our sorry it was rainy season. She couldn't bask and warm her body though she tried to bask. On the one hand, Kumosuke enjoy natural life freely like a wild turtle in the balcony in this season. Such Kumosuke faced to Kamemi which was basking at the Japanese style room as usual trough the net of window. He shook his hand to Kamemi in the other side of net. And Kamemi approached him to　 threatens him when she noticed him. They must have bitten each other if there is no net between them.
June 28(Sun.)	She began to act again.
July 2(Thurs.)	To our sorry,it's rainy season now. I hesitated to let her out in the cool weather for fear that putting her out may prevent from her laying on the contrary. But I came to have feeling as if I was bullying her while seeing her which looked to want to go out and has been raging near the window. So I decided to put her out only for a short time though it was a little chilly day. It's her laying place of this summer here. It's about 1/3 areas of our balcony. It's smaller than usual one. It's an advantage for me to be able to leave her alone here with out my watch after I put her here once because it 's enclosed　completely. . Being enclosed is convenient for me. But she may feel as if she is shut here. She looks to be unpleased with it. Then a big sound like flow of water ! I found she was swimming mightily in a big plastic container with floating and sinking. She sometimes appeared from water and was aggravating the breath. She looked to like to be in this container. So I left her there for a while. After then I returned her to her container in the bath room because I had to go to super market. And when II returned to home I found a little dirty water in her container. There was a broken egg in the water. A broken egg Another big egg And two small eggs like pearls. She looked to lay these eggs though she wouldn't lay yet.
	Her activity continued after then. She almost spent daytime in the balcony even rainy days. At night she hoped to go to Japanese type room. I give her newspapers instead of straw mats to scratch and breaks them. Her daily life like this has been continued for about one week .
July 8(Wed.)	I came to worry about her as she was strangely quiet after she dashed out to the outside strangely quiet. When I went to see her She already dug a deep hole seriously in the flower pot planted lily of the valley When I went to see her next, she had just been laying the eggs. There already seemed to be some eggs in the hole though I couldn't see them because of darkness. She laid 6-7 eggs at least at intervals of a few minutes even while I was seeing it. It's a picture that she was just about to lay a egg. Can you see the lower side of her tail swell? We can see some white egg in the hole. Then she spent about 2 hours to return back soil to the hole and returned to home. The soil she laid eggs was very hard as she stepped firmly. So it's too difficult to take egg from soil to make sure the number of eggs without breaking them, and without hurting the root of the lily of the valley that has already hurt. I left the eggs just as they were there. Therefore, I can't know how many she laid eggs accurately. But I think there were about 10 eggs at least even only a big ones.
The 2nd time
July 16(Thurs.)	I felt it was strange that she wanted to go to balcony also after egg laying. So as I thought she began next activity for eggs already in only 8 days after last egg laying.
	Hot days came to continue. So I decided to try to make her go to balcony and Japanese style room whenever she wants to do like that., not to give any limitation to her behavior as much as possible ,valuing her feelings. Because I thought that it would press her egg laying more from the experience. I spread newspaper over room when she tried to go to Japanese room, because it is embarrassed that the mat is ruined by her. She seemed to like to break newspaper because she can feel response from breaking them. She might like there better than balcony. She came to go to there often and came to do digging gesture much more frequently after she could go to there when she liked At the balcony, I enclosed her space not to need to watch her and tried to have her go out freely when she wanted to go there. But she was interested in only a big container for water hyacinth、 and wasn't interested in soil of flower pots. She is swimming powerfully in it with splashing whenever I saw her. So water hyacinth has been almost annihilated like this though they grew thick so splendidly at first.
July 23(Thurs.)	And she laid 2 eggs after she broke newspaper again and again at Japanese style room as usual and returned to her container in the bath room. But her activity for eggs still continueｄ.
July 15(Sat)	It was Fine weather after a long time. She stayed for long time on a flower pot warming her body though she wasn't interested in soil at all before then. And she began to dig soil of the flower pot seriously soon. And she has come off from the pot completely at last, moving the position little by little. But she looked not to notice about it, put her foot in the space between pots continuously.to try to do digging gesture. After then she came to the room in several hours. When I checked the space between pots I found 2 eggs there. This is a hole he dug in a flower pot. The root of ivy was dug up. It is the space here where she laid eggs actually after moving the position. She returned to water at once and she was raging for a while after eggs. So I doubted she might be still on the way of the egg laying. But she has settled down at all after sleeping at night and came to take a nap under the table to take a rest.
The 3rd time
August 30(Sun.)	She hasn't shown any signs for egg laying at all since the end of July. So I thought that her egg laying of this summer would have finished already But She began to act for eggs suddenly in this day. She began to run around room. Though I was convinced that her real egg laying in this summer has ended already, She became restless and began to rage again. Judging from the experience of the past, she doesn't do the gesture scratched by her hinder legs and lay only a few eggs in water of her container even if she is laid. But her action is different from usual this summer. She might have been disordered by cool climate in this summer.
Sept. 1(Tues.)	It's usual for her that her action becomes to changes scratching ground gesture by the legs as the active area gradually narrowing after she run in the room at least for a week But she began to scratch already on the second day this time. It's already September. It has finished the best time for her egg laying already. So she might be hurrying up. I surrounded the balcony that has already put in order as her place in hurry again so that she may go outside whenever she likes, prepared also newspapers for her to scratch in the Japanese-style room. . I wondered if she was digging up the hole because she was too quiet. Then she I found her who overset on the plant pot. How miserable she is! Though she seemed to be embarrassed anyway. She didn't intend to get up for oneself at all once she found me. She only breaks newspaper in the room this time. She doesn't try dig the ground in outdoor. It may be too cool for her anyway.
Sept.6(Sun.)	A week after she starts her activity again. She stopped acting without laying at all. And she began to enjoy basking, taking a nap and eating as usual.
Sept.9 (Wed.)	I found that only a egg dropped from her tail without sound suddenly when I brought her to the wash basin in bathroom to wish her because she which was relaxing with her legs stretched under the table in the living room had an accident suddenly. She might have given up real laying already because autumn has come. It's her appearance after she went back to the living room to take a rest. She is gazing the camera as if nothing had happened and as if she said to me "What do you need to do for me ? "
Sept.16 (Wed.)	Broken pieces of eggshell were found in the cloudy water of her container.
