The first time
The end of May	At the beginning of April, we have moved to because the company residence where we had lived up to now was closed and integrated into another one. Our new address is next to our previous address. Our new room is smaller and worse in various conditions than our previous room. So when I has been just worried about Kamemi's egg laying in summer, She showed us the sign of egg laying at the end of May, about a month earlier than usual year in spite of the unusual low temperature in this spring. The sign 1 She sunbathes willingly everyday though she usually don't like basking. The sign 2 She is like this picture from early morning everyday. She goes to the side of window in Japanese room and is fascinated in the outside though she hasn't raged yet The day when she begins to rage will come soon.
June 8(Tues)	Only less than one week after we feel the sign of her egg laying. She began to rage as I thought. The pattern of her activity for egg laying seems that it is not too different from before though I worried about her egg laying at new residence. Her activity for egg-laying is the same as usual year. She runs around rooms from early in the morning and she goes to the door to take a rest on the mat after her daily work though the door in our new room seems not to be comfortable at all because it has no window and the wind doesn't come in at all. But she chose on the door mat to take a rest as usual. Only the time to begin to take a nap is different from usual. It's around 5-6 o'clock in the evening, still bright time zone this year, though it was 8 o'clock before. It may be because there are no window and it's dark there. She wake up about 12 o'clock of the middle of the night to act again for a while.
June 14(Mon)	The rainy season began in Kanto area at last. It rains in the outside. Kamemi is scratching carpet from morning. Only less than one week is very short as the term from the beginning of activity to beginning of scratching. I always care for about 2 points as follows to help and press her egg-laying smoothly and as soon as possible whenever She begins activity. 1. Not to put her out on the rainy days and the day when temperature is low. (Because to cool her body may cause to stop or put off her advancing activity of egg-laying) 2. To allow her to scratch as she likes without our controlling as possible as we can. (Because I think that scratching by the hinder legs may help to press egg-laying.) So I try to lease her to scratch newspapers spread on the straw mat in Japanese room where she likes at her egg-laying season. It's the way that I have begun to try since last summer.
June 18(Fri)	She is interested in around boundaries with balconies of both next doors by all means when she goes to balcony and she tries to clime and scratch there making a loud noise. So I put aluminum foil she hates there and make it move by wind to keep her off. It's just like a scarecrow. But the effect kept only for short time. I felt very sorry for Kamemi because I hesitated to leave her balcony as I worried about next doors though the sun began to shine in the afternoon. So I decided to take her out in the evening. It's after an interval of two years to go to the field by her bag. But she was very excited and tried to come to enter in it as soon as she find it. I was surprised that she kept memories for 2 years. She goes to the pass in the field fast after I left her there. Then she goes straight into bush of grass pushing grassaside. She may feel safe in the place surrounded withgrass. She was digging here for a while. But she gave up digging soon and going out in this day ended at only one and a half hours after all.
June 19(Sat)	I hesitated to let her the balcony because of lying my heart about next doors though it was shiny day also this day. And we went to the field again. We explored the different place from where we did the day before.It's the first coming place here. It is marshy place where a lot of cattail grow She goes and goes into the bush. But There is a marsh in the interior of the bush. It's troublesome if I miss her there. She tries to go outside of the space intensely resisting when I put her into the bag to go home. We returned to home saying "Let's come here again.",though I feel sorry.
June 20(Sun)	She has started taking a rest suddenly. Her activity stopped at all. She must be tired because she worked hard for about 2 weeks.
June 24(Thurs)	She has gone out from water and began to sunbath suddenly after she has been in the water for 3 days quietly. She looks to begin to act because she got enough energy.
July 1(Thurs)	I prepared the small field for Kamemi's egg-laying in the balcony as usual. I made it in the middle of the balcony not the end of it as in previous house where we didn't need to worry about next doors. Some flower pots with strong plants that can be endured even if they are stepped put around flower pots only soil was put in. And Also a pot of laurel that grows big put there in a way that its branch covers over the place to make her relieved. Then it hit the mark ! She came to be interested in this place and often came to approach there. Half on east side of the balcony delimited to half with board is for Kamemi. And another side ,half on west side for Kumosuke.
July 3(Sat)	Hot days like the midsummer continued in Kanto area. It seemed to be good climate for Kamemi's egg-laying.I hoped to make her finish laying in a spell of hot days and before the rainy days come back. She looks to be interested in the place I prepared for her in balcony. She went to the balcony to make sure of the place for laying over and over again from morning. And she dug there after she spent there for about 2 hours in the evening She might think that I want to decide to lay eggs here this time. After then she went to the same place many times and spent there for a long time as if she made sure of there also the next day.
July 7(Wed)	It's the fifth day after she began to go to the flower pots place. Fine weather until yesterday has changed to rainy weather again. The temperature was a little lower than the days until yesterday and it began to drizzle, too. She didn't return soon after going to the balcony about 3:00 PM again. She was unusually digging the soil of flower pot from bright time zone. So we found a lot of eggs on the soil when I make sure of her about 4:30 PM. She laid eggs at last ! She didn't appear to return to the room yet though she has already finished egg-laying. It's like this next when I went to make sure of her again after about 2 hours. No eggs. When making sure of it later. almost eggs dropped to the space among pots by returning the soil though she seemed to do hardly after egg-laying. She return to home about 7:00 PM after all. As a result of making sure in the next morning I found 11 big eggs and 1 small immature one.
The 2nd time
	She become to restless soon after she finished laying though she laid as much as 11 big eggs. and kept calm and quiet only for one or two days after laying eggs. By the way, the wife of one of next doors talked me when I went to take out the garbage. She said me "You keep a turtle, don't, you?". I trembled to think how it would mean a complaint with annoying sound. But she said "We also keep turtle." She said that they keep red-eared slider that her son who a junior high school student now brought from turtles scooping game in the festival of Shinto shrine in the vicinity when he was a school child. She said that he found a big turtle that overset in our balcony when he heard the strange sound from the outside and made sure of it. She said that he said his mother with pleasure and surprise "Oh, it's so big turtle !" And she talked me " Don't mind that your turtle come in our balcony at all, please. It only makes my son to be pleased." I felt the load in my feeling decreased suddenly.
