The report of Kurumi's egg-laying in 2013 , 2014

The report of the second laying eggs of Kurum in 2015 is as follows.
July 6(Mon.)
Curium had been almost quiet since spring, though there were some restless time
But she began the activity for egg laying suddenly in the early morning of this day,
also began to scratch on the Japanese tatami mats in the room.
That reminds me, she longed to go to balcony and was on a flower pot flattening plants
for a long time in the previous day. When I look back now, it seemed that it was the sign of
beginning of the activity.

I think there's a high possibility her laying season approaches when I often come to see Kurumi
at the place like these.

Other sign of coming her egg season are as follows.
Staying at sunny place of balcony for a long time
Climbing on human's bodies to warm her body.
I think that it may mean to need for them to get temperature from outside to help egg-laying.
July 9(Wed.)
She has been buzzing around and tearing the newspapers paved in the Japanese room
from early in the morning everyday.
So I decided to take her outside every day as my daily routine from this day.
But she wouldn't dig at all when she went outside though she dig anywhere in the house
Her manner like this is different from that of the last year and the year before last.
She only walks there. She walks a good distance every time.
July 18(Sat.)
After rain, there is a pool puddle on the path of the field. Kurumi rolled into there,
ate something and bit the ground.
When I looked there carefully,
I found a lot of pill bugs were walking there
and she caught them to eat.
She looked that she didn't feel like digging any longer this day. So I took her home back.
After then, she stopped acting , her rest break began.
I took her outside for 10 days. but all ended in failure.
then ordinary daily life came back again.
Kurumi stopped to struggle to go out of a container from early morning and
came to eat much.
July 28(Tues.)
10 days have passed since her activity stopped.
She began to become activity again suddenly from early morning of this day. But she only
act wildly. She didn't try to dig on the flour or tatami mats yet.
July 30(Thurs.)
She began to scratch the flour of the balcony or straw mats of Japanese style room
by her hind legs again.
She looked to be interested in the flower pots
with only soil in the balcony.
She stayed near them for a long time and
scattered the soil about.
I tried to I damp the soil.
But she didn't look to dig there.
In the evening, when I tried to return her to a container, she didn't want to be back there
and tried to go out. So I decided to leave her in the balcony until next morning.
Then she went to the flower pot with only soil, got on it and spent there until dawn.
July 31 (Fri.)
I felt that her activity for egg laying were approaching the final time. I tried to take her the field
again in the evening. But she only walked around there. She wouldn't dig hole on the ground
at all. On the other hand, she didn't want to returned to container and tried to go the flower
pots of balcony. When I went to see her there, she stretched her leg to my face and see
my face with the expression that she looked as if she have had something to ask me.
So I though that she might lay egg soon if I tried to take her out again.
It was just flood tide and full moon. Most of the days when Kurumi laid eggs up to now were
the time of flood tide.
I tried to leave her back yard
of the inside the company residence we live
not the field or the park as usual
because it was already late time.

I took this picture at light time.
Then she began to dig ground soon. She were digging a hole at her best
bathing the light of full moon. The grass took root and grew well there.
When she dug there, I heard the big sound that the roots were tore.
She made a quite deep and wide hole spending long time
whether it was because the roots took too well or not.
The trace where she dug a hole
at the previous night.
She laid 5 eggs soon.
I took her back home after I let her let filling there for a while
She still made a gesture of filling for about an hour at the balcony even after
she came back home

These are the eggs
I brought home
after I picked up them
from the hole carefully
not to notice her
before she filled a hole.

And I found one more small immature egg
when I tried changed water of her container
next morning.
She laid as many as 5 eggs at the first time. I can feel she is growing up little by little every year
