Halloween turtle

I got a lot of sweet potatoes.
So I made sweets shaped turtle with autumn feeling by using them.



It is just the season of Halloween. The dough is mixed also with pumpkin.
The part of the shelter is made
pumpkin-shaped.
And the face of the turtle is drawn by the skin of pumpkin.
It's "Jack-o'- Lantern".

A turtle swimming in the pond of coffee jell



I put a turtle made of whipped cream and marshmallow drawn the face on the coffee jelly in a cup of glass.


It's a turtle swimming in the pond of coffee jelly.


Its legs and a tail are made of marshmallow fondant that mixed marshmallow and powder sugar.


The face is drawn by the instant coffee melted thick using a toothpick.

Fruits parfait of turtle@(1)


I tried to make the parfait of fruits on which a turtle got.

Put the turtle made of grape flavored Italian-style ice cream, a fruit of grape with eyes and blueberries on it after putting some granola and blueberry's yogurt, whipped cream and grapes of 2 kinds colors into a glass.

The flavor of grape and blueberry
of it is very fresh in taste.

And this is another one with Mango flavored Italian-style ice cream.


The part of the head is the yellow peach cored roundly with a spoon.
It has eyes of raisins on on it.

The part of its legs and tail are pineapple.

Japanese style turtle Parfait
A parfait made of Japanese ingredients makes a turtle.

After putting green tea flavor ice cream, agar cubes and sweet bean paste into a glass, and squeeze whipped cream with green tea powder on it, put rice flour dumplings with green tea powder beside it to make a turtle, add a candied chestnut
and a piece of Japanese style fried dough cookie.

Turtle shaped pancake of spring

This is another pancake that is made the turtle shape without the frame for mold.

It is Japanese style pancake made from pancake dough mixed green tea powder with boiled beans, whipped cream and brown sugar syrup.

It was the season when double cherry blossoms were just blooming. So I made whipped cream pale pink, the color of cherry blossom with red food color, and also put salted and chopped cherry leaves on it. It tasted salty a little bit and smells samurai(cherry blossom) flavor a little.

A sea turtle's pancake


I tried to make a pancake shaped sea turtle.


At first I made the frame for a mold. I slivered the cardboard, jointed them like ribbon by a stapler, curved to turtle shape and covered it by tinfoil.

Then I poured pancake dough into the frying pan on which put the frame.

Toppings are strawberry, blueberry, whipped cream and strawberry sauce.


As its shelter looked heart shape,
I arranged strawberries so that they form heart shape.

Cream Admits(Japanese style sweets)


This is Japanese popular sweets
for summer, called"Cream Admits".

A green turtle made of green tea flavor
ice cream put on boiled beans, cubes of agar gelatin, Japanese rice-flour dumplings and chopped fruits, and added sweet beans jam.

Turtles for New Year's Days

I tried to make 3 kinds of
Japanese festive food for the New Year turtle shape.

Those are baked egg ,mashed sweet potatoes containing sweetened chestnuts white and red
pickles of turnip.

It was difficult to make them turtles shape. But its shape is good for food of New Year because turtles is known as fortune animal in Japan.

Christmas in the forest(Butch de Noel)


It's a typical cake for Christmas,
"Butch de Noel".

But it's ease to make it
because we use a roll cake
on the market as its foundation.
We can make it quickly
without oven.

I decorated it with imaging
lovely Christmas in the forest.

Lee Pudding a la mode of Pumpkin


I tried to make turtle-shape pumpkin pudding.

It became turtle-shape one when I decorated it with some fruits and whipped after making pumpkin pudding by using a jelly mold that has shape like pumpkin,

A small aquarium (peach jelly)


It's a small aquarium in a cup.
a peach turtle is swimming
in the jelly dyed to sea-color
with blue Curacao.

Another peach turtle is also
on the top of the jelly.

These sea turtles are peaches of canned food pulled out by the cookie mold that I used for cookie wreath below.

I baked turtle-shaped cookies using a lovely turtle-cookie mold.. They made such a wreath when these cookie was looped..

Christmas tree with cookies
In addition, I baked some cookies using also Christmas-like molds, ginger man, angel, star, and Christmas tree bell, and so on and ,decorated with icing. It's a pretty Christmas tree when I hung these cookies with nylon string from the branch of tree.

Baked Apple Turtle

Two kinds of apples, big one (Jonathan) and small one(a kind of crab apples) ware baked and combined them, So they become a turtle-shaped baked apple.

Red of apple, white of meringue and sweet smell of cinnamon.It is a good dessert for Christmas.

The rest of small apples was piled up together with pine cones, cinnamon sticks and leaves of holly in a plateand they became a candle stand.

Jellies of hydrangea
It is a rainy season of
Japan in June.So I made the jellies that round hydrangea flower are likened to turtle's shell so that we can enjoy this damp season.

Two flowers, a purple one and a blue one, bloomed. The leaves of mint make them appear to be flowers of hydrangea much more.

Chocolates of turtles for St.Valentine's Day

I made turtles
of two colored chocolates for St.Valentine's Day.

The shape of them looks to be loved by children, but they must suit adult tastes, because of the raisins pickled rum and orange peels inside.

It was very difficult for me to make the head and the limbs.

I think that it must be cute to float white one flavored vanilla on the pond of a coffee cup.

Turtles of small doughnuts


They are the turtles of small doughnuts with two color, green & brown.

I was sure that it was easy to make tortoise of doughnuts.
But...
Also this time, I had a trouble with making the head and the limbs.

It's much more difficult to make the shape of turtles than I expected.
