Turtle's hotel (Wakayama)


I show you turtle's hotel at Wakaykama pref.

It's "Hotel Urashima". We can enjoy a lot of unique spa hereE This horel's trade mark is "turtle"from a Japanese tradithiona tale"Urashima and the Kingdom Beneath the Sea"

Such a cute turtle's boat guides us from the pier near the station to the pier in front of hotel. We seem to be guided to the Kingdom Beneath the Sea by the turtle in the tale.

The turtle can be found here and there in the room.

On the tea cup, on the tea-things case@and even the pattarn of yukata.
All is the turtle.
(A kind of kimono named yukata is prepared as a nightwear in the hotel and inn in Japan.)

We can find turtle's picture on some tablewares also in restraunt
when we we look these.

One of the features of this hotel re is to be able to enjoy various types of hot springs.

The most famouse one among them is a hot spring useing natural cave named "bokido"
We can enjoy hotspring hearing the roar of the waves by the sea in the cave.
The turtles in the picture are some found in the cave"bokido".

There are 6 types of hot springs
in all, for example an open spa at the top of the mountain in this hotel.

We can get some turtle shaped cakes, ,sweet things with the turtles pictures on the packeges and so on here.

There are a lot of souvenir shops in this hotel. So we can have happy time also while finding turtles items and cakes.

It's a case of dinnabar seal ink of the turtls made of black stone named "natiguro". I bought it at the shop in the same town as this hotel when we visitted there before. Black stone named "nachigro"is well- known speciality in this area.

They anounced " Sea turtle's egg laying ground around here."in the express train bound for Wakayama. We saw sea turtles in the sea aquqriun at Kusimoto near here when we visited here before.
