Turtle's Cake

This is turtle shaped cake to celebrate
Respect- for the- Aged Day.
(It's third Monday in September in Japan)

It is Japanese style cake made by puff creams'

There are whipped cream of Japanese green tea with azuki beans and custard cream with chopped chest nuts inside its shell. And custard cream also stuffed inside a small puff cream as turtles head.
.
Turtle is a symbol of longevity.
So we can often found sweets using turtle as a motif around Aged Day.

Crane and Turtle

These are Japanese shrimp crackers
sold in the cracker shop with a long history in Japan.

This is one of series "Kawaii Wa (It means Japan)". The name of this is "crane and turtle" This was sold for Aged Day.

There are cute crackers with the picture and the shapes using Japanese culture, seasonal scenery, tales and so on in this series.
