Let's go and see the turtles ! (9)

We went to temple at Narrate to see turtles.

Some traditional and old stores line up in the approach to the temple which leads to there from the station.
It is a row of old stores with a nice atmosphere.

There are fortunate stone statues of 12 -year Chinese zodiac and a turtles as a symbol of long life on the both sides of the street.

A lot of turtles were basking in the sun on the rocks of the pond at the temple as usual.

One of reeves turtles approached to me. But I felt sorry because I noticed that I forgot to bring some food for them.

This is turtle shaped rock in the pond.

(Lower right)
The spot where this red-eared slider is basking in the sun on the rock is very high place which is about 2 meters from water surface of the pond. They need to clime a cliff to arrive there.

We can see a lot of excellent ornamental carving on some buildings of the precincts of the temple.



And there are also some turtle carving in them.

I could find only one red- eared slider on the leaves of water lily when I found a pond and I tried to look for turtles there.

A very realistic figure of soft shell turtle that almost mistake it for real one jumped into my eyes when I looked at the bank of the pond

It is a monument to comfort the spirit of soft shell turtles that became food for people.

(Middle right)
There is another monument next to it.
The words"Natural scenes. The monument for insect, fish, bird and beast" and "May be all of living things happy."is inscribed on it.


The event of hydrangea was just held at the backyard of the temple.Many thousand hydrangeas of various kinds
were at their best. A sight that kind of hydrangea with long white flowers were blooming was so beautiful especially.
