I will talk about my handmade Keeping. We use it around the year not only in winter.
the warmth of water is kept quite long time only if we put in lukewarm
water there
So we can hibernate them saving energy by using this box.

We use the plastic container with casters of
32.5cm(H), 39cm(W), '74cm(D) to keep our turtles now.
So I made a box that fits into it by corrugated paper at first.
After then I put heat insulation sheet on inside and covered
the whole box with plastic sheet not to be dirty or get wet.
It is divided into two part to be easy to take it in and put it out
when I wash the container as the right photo.
It has also a lid.

I put the turtle-print cover on it because uncovered box is
not so nice to look. I can take it off to wash it easily.
